If these are things that interest you then you need to check out what’s happening with Soroptimist International of Desert Tucson. We are local professional women working together to make Tucson a better place for women and girls and by extension, everyone. Our efforts include fund raising, supporting organizations serving women and girls, and recognizing other women’s accomplishments in the community. We mentor women returning to college and help young girls in school develop self-esteem and learning skills. You can participate on your schedule and as your time permits. Soroptimist Mission
Soroptimist offers programs that improve the lives of women and girls through three distinct platforms: economic empowerment, elimination of violence, and gender equality.
What is Soroptimist?
Founded in 1921, Soroptimist is a world wide organization for business and professional women. The word Soroptimist is coined word meaning “Best for Women”. We have grown from a single club in California to a global organization with NGO status at the UN.
