April – Thank you one and all for making our Life is Rich Fundraiser a total success!
March – Is annual Saturday of Service – We will help Emerge! Center Against Domestic Abuse organize their donations.
March – Soroptimist is forming a team for annual Race for the Cure.
January – Soroptimist International of Desert Tucson hosted the registration and an exhibitor’s booth at the Abolition Conference on January 14, to raise awareness about prostitution and sex trafficking in our local community. If you think that Sex Trafficking only happens in big cities like L.A. you will be shocked. Read more on our Service Projects page.
December was dedicated to making Christmas happen for two families of the ‘working poor’; with gifts and holiday meals.
November – We participated in the Habitat for Humanity Women Build Project. The Soroptimist team was the only one to get all the trusses up on the house they were working on!
October – United Way Days of Caring – Soroptimist helped update on of our local shelters on October 1st.

Join one of the most vibrant and fastest growing service club in Tucson, Soroptimist International of Desert Tucson. We are local professional women working together to make Tucson a better place for women and girls. Hands on service projects, awards, grants and honoring other women’s accomplishments in Southern Arizona are a few of things we are doing.

Soroptimist offers programs that improve the lives of women and girls through three distinct platforms: economic empowerment, elimination of violence, and gender equality.
What is Soroptimist?
Founded in 1921, Soroptimist is a world wide organization for business and professional women. The word Soroptimist is coined word meaning “Best for Women”. We have grown from a single club in California to a global organization with NGO status at the UN.
